I showed up just before the barista, Calille, was going to lunch. He offered to make me a coffee "real quick". So I obliged since I already knew exactly what I wanted (great mocha btw). That was above and beyond the call of duty. Give this man a raise!

Went for a music concert. Diverse entertainment and community. Great music and opportunity for the musicians to share their culture.

Such a vibe. Catch a wrestling show on the weekend, and grab a latte during the week. Love everyone up there, if you want to support a local place with cool people this the spot

Amazing venue for Defy Wrestling. Been 4 or 5 times now, and one day I'll be in that ring! Only negative is I wish there was another full bar/food option instead of just the one since it gets crazy.

First time visit to participate in "Choir! Choir! Choir!" event on a very warm Spring evening. Wonderful old building in a leafy neighborhood. We were unsure about parking but had no problem finding a space within easy walking distance. Excellent auditorium space although it was quite warm with 500 people even with the windows all open. Recommended but if it's warm and you dislike the heat, wear light clothing and consider taking a fan.

Washington Hall is such a stellar event venue in Seattle and it's great to see it still thriving! A few years back Sensebellum had the honor of exhibiting some of our interactive science art installations alongside other notable locals for "The Future List 2018" thanks to the team at the City Arts Magazine. Good times were had and here's to more in the future!

This is a beautiful space to have Events both big and small. There is a small space downstairs that isn’t much, but could fit easily 100 people and tables and chairs. And upstairs there is a very large beautiful space with a wraparound balcony and a large stage. I have gone to dance classes here, fundraisers here, and many other events and it is always stunning because of the space itself. There is really no parking in this area or at the space but I have been to events where they utilize the elementary parking one block away.

*Previous review deleted * Updated review (November 2025) I walked in stressed, frazzled, and honestly on the verge of tears… but the moment I stepped into that quiet café/library room, the whole energy shifted. That cool little breeze, the calm, the stillness — it wrapped around me like, “Girl, breathe. I got you.” And by the time I left? I felt relaxed, lighter, and finally able to hear myself think again. Creative Café is one of those places that feels like a gentle exhale. Warm people, peaceful vibes, and coffee that feels like a hug in a cup. Grateful for this space. Truly. ✨ ... April/May 2025) What an absolute gem! I met up here for the "Hey Black Seattle!" Tour, and was immediately taken by the warm, welcoming atmosphere. It’s a place where you can relax, connect, and feel part of something meaningful. Highly recommend stopping by and supporting this incredible initiative!

Just a wonderful old school facility. We go for the monthly Defy wrestling shows and absolutely love the intimate atmosphere.. If you ever get a chance, check out this beautiful building.. And don't forget, Jimi played here back in the 60's !!!
